My Daughter has her new Triton Dual cab fitted with a nice shiney polished Bullbar, on High Beam the reflection is very bad, anyone have suggestions as to what method to rectify this, Matt paint would be an option , would mean a lot of masking and I'm ready to die just yet if I got overspray on it , so what about a type of Tape .....bloody good tape in black and about 3.5 inches wide, something that will stay on for a long time,

As for the Triton ....Mmmm what can I say but bloooody Beauty Mate , even the back window opens . power operated too , she got it all in black, I didn't like the sound of that either until I seen it , It has the V6 with Auto Trans, Interior is very very nice , looks a good amount of leg room in the rear too,...Waahhh ..I WANT ONE TOO, ...C'mon ...LOTTO

We have the same problem, you can use some black cloth tape (race or 100mph tape) on the drivers side or go to a sign writter and get them to cut out some black vinyl and heat mold it to the curve of the bar.

The hardware shops sell stick on non slip step edge or boat step tape. It is usually a mat finish and sticks really well.

Doug,
Try TJM... They used to sell a tape specifically for the purpose you require.. (I have no idea if they still do?)...

i put some on my "nice shiny polished bullbar" 9 years ago, does exactly what it's meant to do, and it's still stuck as firm as the day I applied it...

G'day Doug,
That's good to know:)
Definitely the right stuff for the job, IMO...

That's good of the Orange agent to apply the stuff to a competitor's bar:) ..
I'm sure they'd be well aware of the need to thoroughly clean/remove any polish from the area to which the tape will be applied.. If this is done, then it's a once-only application...

Regards, Ed. C

Doug,

Is it ECM or ECB as I haven't heard of ECM.
Just curious that's all
