Not yet but did you see the croc hunter driving his toyota ute?

You can tell it's not his! Bet that one gets sold as a test drive unit.

Why do 4x4 ads all have massive jumps, big rocks and being treated like s&%t?

I would love to see the underbodies after filming. It makes me wonder because most of the ads highlight the lack of ground clearance & when I see them edit out the gut wrenching grinding of metal it turns me off that model.

I guess it says more about the wankers in advertising and what they think of the 4x4 market.

what about holden and the monster trucks.

its not about capability of the car, they dont even show the car 1/2 the time!!!!!! Remember car ads in the old days used to actually SHOW what features the car had!

ITS ABOUT IMAGE... WANK WANK WANK...

C'mon, don't you believe everything you see on the tube. I'm sure they wouldnt "stretch the truth" or exadgerate (how do you spell it?)
BTW, I'm also sure that pigs fly- very sure in fact.
Saw one last night after I'd had just a couple (I swear) of rums!
Hic!

Saw the Croc Hunters Toyota ad, and gees, i wish Toyota would let me cane 78 series like that!!!! The thing had twin diff locks though, so, I can imagine that the ad was "real". Alot of other fourby ads, like the Rav Four in the grand canyon, and the Prado on the school oval, really are just a load of crap, but they must appeal to somebody!! Give me a "real" ad anyday, one that shows the vehicles features, and capeability without editing! Tristjo.

One wonders if they would all honour their warranty if you treated their vehicles like they do in the ads!!

I suspect not!

Cheers

Haven't bought a new car in a looong time- but acording to those who have it often aint worth the paper it's written on.

Personally I've had a great time with Toyota's warranty and went so far as to extend it. Good point though, if you have warranty running out get a mechanic to really give it a good once over. You'll kick yourself if something bleep s itself the day after expiry.

What are the Pajero adds the same as the Triton adds?
I think they are funny. but at the same time Ive never bought a vehicle because it had a good add.

they should do an add showing how easy it is for the kids to get out of at school.and how quick the diesels go in car parks.
now that would be more realisticlooking foward to september(landcruiser park/fraser island)

Remember the original Prado ad's with the North Shore Mum "oh what a feeling" with the kids in the back over the dirt speed humps. The most original yet. At least these cars have moved on to decent owners, the original punters have moved on to ML's and X5's. It will come full circle shortly and they will be back in the Volvo wagon about to be released!!

Saw the one tonight with Sami Lucas (sp?) in the Escape driving through the surf...yeah right. Great second hand buy that one.
