Well, we rocked in town last night - it was so good. Angry is a true musician (and he didn't even play) just sang and sang and entertained us. I had not had the pleasure of seeing him live before - great music.
He's just left heading out to cross the Simpson Desert - hope he comes back soon.

Can we book them for this week at the Races? Wouldn't it be fantastic. They might be all old but they've still got IT.

Might be a bit short notice but you could alwaays book them for next year.
Go to the "Giants" web site and send them an email...you might be supprised.
They do play at a lot of small venues and mines and stuff.
Last time they were in Alice the venue got cancelled on them so a mate of mine threw them some money and they played at AJs tavern in front of about 20 people. Brilliant!!!

Cheers

Ruth

What are you doing back in Birdsville?

Last time I heard you'd gone to the east coast.

Regards

Kim

Kim, Been here 11 years - it's my home! Now that we are rich and retired (laughing heartily at both statements) we have a country house and a beach house - and this is our second trip to the country house this year. All the usual crew who would help at the races have turned up here as they have done for the past 10 years - but this time just to party and go to the races, normally they just partied (a lot). So far they've been fishing, now putting up a new colorbond fence (to keep Big Red out of the garden), put up new towel rails, putting in a boys only dunny in the shed (complete with magazine rack to hold the dirty magazines I found hidden in the shed and a pink potty if they get caught short) and putting water into the tubs in the party patio to save all those boys from walking up stairs to do the washing up each night!
As for the beach house (it's 2 hours west of the beach and looks at the mountains - and green apparently after 2 inches of rain last week, at least the rain water tanks are now full) and the house itself is a big shed but luxuriously appointed (yeah sure). When we go back from here end of next week Ian and I will be physically building our house at the beach shed - that will be a very interesting experience, particularly as I am the Owner Builder and Ian the labourer!!!!

Hi Ruth

"particularly as I am the Owner Builder and Ian the labourer"

Is Ian aware of this?

LOL

Ah yes, he is. Not a happy chappy at the thought of being told where to go, I mean, what to do. Can't imagine that he will take the slightest bit of notice either.
