Kim, Been here 11 years - it's
my home! Now that we are rich and retired (laughing heartily at both statements) we have a country house and a beach house - and this is our second trip to the country house this year. All the usual crew who would help at the races have turned up here as they have done for the past 10 years - but this time just to party and go to the races, normally they just partied (a lot). So far they've been fishing, now putting up a new colorbond fence (to keep Big Red out of the garden), put up new towel rails, putting in a boys only dunny in the shed (complete with magazine rack to hold the dirty magazines I found hidden in the shed and a pink potty if they get caught short) and putting
water into the tubs in the party patio to save all those boys from walking up stairs to do the washing up each night!
As for
the beach house (it's 2 hours west of
the beach and looks at the mountains - and green apparently after 2 inches of rain last week, at least the rain
water tanks are now full) and the house itself is a big shed but luxuriously appointed (yeah sure). When we go back from here end of next week Ian and I will be physically building our house at
the beach shed - that will be a very interesting experience, particularly as I am the Owner Builder and Ian the labourer!!!!
