Does anyone know what these cost to get fitted and anyone here got one?? Good or bad?? Seems that the chips are only made for the 4 pot engines.

I believe around the $4500 mark, less your $2000 gov rebate.
Mate from my 4wd club has it on his 2.8GU....now there is not much between him and a 3lt in a drag race (to legal speed limit of course!!!) that will keep the do gooders happy.

Hey Brad

I just recently got my 3.0 GU done and am pretty impressed with it I have to say. There are two different types available, one injected pre turbo and the other injected poet turbo.

I basically emailed both of the companies here in Perth with a series of questions about their respective systems and why I should buy one over the other. This email was dual purpose, first to find out about the different systems and second to see what their response was like in regards to customer service.

I only heard back from one of these companies, first by email giving me some information and the price. This was then followed up with a phone call from them where they spent the best part of an hour going through their system and how it works and what to expect.

I liked the sound of their particular system and their service mentality so I decided to go with them. I went for the system that injects poet turbo and I felt that this was a much safer option and a better system overall.

End cost was just under 4K which included the exhaust re-routing in order to fit the gas tank. So far the system has lived up to expectations. Power increase has been great, economy is going to take a few tanks to work out properly.

There are a number of companies in Perth who do the gas injection. Dieselgas Australia and D-gas are the 2 systems. Both have websites and both make various claims.

May I suggest that you perhaps do as I did and send both an email asking questions and for information and see who follows up on this and what they have to say.

Personally I went with the D-gas system which was installed by D-gas at Malaga and am very happy with the result. As I said I did prefer injection post turbo as the thought of a turbo full of gas didnt really excite me too much, along with the fact that gas will over time dry things out. Performance has definately improved and economy loks to have improved a little. The work was very well done and the guys were easy to deal with.

I think however that the proce has gone up since I had mine done. My was converted last week, but was booked in 4 weeks prior to that, so I was one of the last people to get the cheaper rate.

Let me know how you go. I have had this same conversation with some other people who have been in contact with both companies and in all cases they have decided to go with D-gas at Malaga.

Cheers
