Hello all, has anyone had any experience with a 1996 Holden Rodeo turbo diesel and if so are they any good, reliable etc....

I've got one, it's a fantastic vehicle, doesnt owe me a cent. They are definitely not fast off the mark, but once you're on the hwy the turbo kicks in and overtaking is not a problem.
Mine has about 200000 kms on it, and I have not had anything fail except a clutch cylinder, just keep the servicing to every 5000k

No, none at all - the only other thing I know of that seems to be a common fault is that the handbrake cable is fairly light. I've had the cable for each wheel go on me.

I have a 2001 model, mines the 3 litre diesel which is just a bigger 2.8 with an intercooler and different pump. have a couple of mates with 2.8 rodeos and they are an honest truck.
not the best clearance standard, and they have pretty bad ramp over, but are comfortable, drive
well, and reasonable offroad as long as you dont expect to be following patrols with 35's on them through the mud.
