Line them up on a piece of flat road. Cover your headlight with a bit of cloth, and also same to the drive lights one at a time.

Hi
Depends on the type of beams you have.
If you have 2 spots then set the left one slightly to the left and lower than the right which you set straight aheah and a bit higher than the left.
If you have a combination of spot and spread beams (prefered IMHO), set the spread beam to cover the side of the road and the spot well ahead, that way you get a good coverage close and into the distance. Just remember that just because you have good light aheah does not mean you should go any faster, and watch out for wallopies.
Safe night driving

If you have two spot lights, set them up so that they project down the road ahead of your head lights. I always set mine up as they do on rally cars, the right one pointing slightly to the left of centre and the left one slightly right of centre. By doing this you have the added advantage of them illuminating the sides of the road and when you are rounding a bend it is great because the light beam illuminates around the corner - so to speak - in exactly the area of your point of focus. You need to set them up thus top appreciate the the improvement compared to just straight down the road.

Interesting logic. Might just try this. Presumably this is better done with two spots and not spread beams???

Cheers, Trevor.

Or if you point them both well to the right you can go shooting at night without leaving the comfort of your driver's seat....

Used to set mine up for mountain driving like that RHS set at a 36 degree angle pointing left and LHS set at same angle pointing right, so they both cross somewhere about 3m in front of the car. Excellent for snow mountain driving cause u dont need long range lighting there
