Afternoon all, 'the little turbo battler' is getting some exhaust work next week. All legality's aside its a basically a complete free flow design.

The real question is, will this give me any problems with other things? I am planning on a good dyno/injector tune real soon, so was thinking exhaust first then tune to that.

Did a little experiment the other day and dropped the exhaust just before the HUGE middle muffler and went for a little spin, the low down improvements to power were great, turbo came on alot sooner, and none of the normal turbo lag.

So it seems like a win,win to me...just wondering am I risking the motor in anyway by doing this exhaust mod?

To me it seems the quicker you get rid of the gas the better, but I stand to be corrected.

Cheers Stefan

stefan, look at fitting a manual turbo boost controller, will bring in the turbo about 500 RPM earlier.

Watch out for your gear box. Had a mate who did the same thing and he shellacked it.
