Some time ago I came across Velcro straps for heavy duty use (can't remember where).

The Velcro was attached to webbing and didn't require a buckle system, but could be adjusted for length. The straps were around 35mm in width.

Does anyone have knowledge of the product?

Regards

Kim

Kim I've seen long rolls of velcro and up to 38mm or wider at Clark Rubber give them a try.

Thanks for that Duncan.

I'm aware of the products Clark Rubber sell, but I'm referring to a heavy duty strap which fastens via the Velcro ends.

Hi Kim M
If you were looking at what I think you were, they are available in various lengths and are called Andy Strapz.

Very safe and strong product to use.

That's what I'm looking for. Amazingly the distributor is just around the corner from me.

As previously mentioned, I saw these straps some time ago and did'nt give them much thought until I met up with a roo shooter in the back blocks of WA last year.

He reckons their the best thing since sliced bread in rough country.

Many thanks

Kim,

I had some made up by the local canvas place. They sewed 50mm velcro onto seatbelt webbing. The hook-side is about 30cm on each end and the loop-side is the centre section. You can see them in the third photo on the My Rig page (the one on the right is done up). I can't budge them no matter how hard I pull. $15 each

Where the hell do you put the Missus? That is one packed car!

LOL.

The straps at the top are similar to what I'm talking about.

Your thinking of Andy Strapz. I used them for keeping the Oztent on the rack on our last trip. Great piece of gear.
