G'day All,
I was just wondering if anyone else had found the piece of foam located between the sump and bellhousing on a GU Patrol Wagon TD6?
I'm not sure if
mine has a rear main weep or if oil has accumulated in the foam from oil draining down when the filters are removed.
I have only had the vehile a short time (3 months) and can see a few drips of oil around the bellhousing area near this foam.
Your thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Chris.

Heard of this a fair bit actually, its oil from the filters sitting in the sponge and having a wee little dwibble every now and again. Mate just chucked the piece of foam and degreased the area, 55000km later and there is not a single drop in his engine bay.
