td 100,

We bought an 80w BP from Derek, mounted on roof of our van and used it for our 3 month trip thru QLD and NT. No probs, worked well and we were happy with it. The BP panel has a very strong 50mm Alloy frame, most others have a smaller frame.

Regards

I found that the Kyocera panels were cheaper again, got mine from Solar Panel Express in QLD also available on the web. Make sure that you have a good quality solar regulator as well.

Of the two decide on a polycrystalline Sharp panel, they are more technalogically advanced than PB panels, they work far better in low light and shade conditions.

The Suntech would be my very last choice, reason: look at the quality controll of the frame and compare it to a Sharp !!!

Sunpower panels are also extremely efficient, as are the black Kyocera panels.

Get a 3 x stage solar regulator, not an elcheapo on/off system.

one of the reasons chose the Suntech as the frame was superior to BP and Sharp. Load of nonsense about low light and shade as the finger technology of Suntech make them the most efficient of all panels. Pity many posters here dribble without knoweldge or doing research or basic homework.
made an extensive study of features benifits and compared different brands. Suntech are no 4 in the world and value for money was best with best warranty

I won't argue with your 'opinion' as I believe it's not based on any realistic facts that can be shown here on a computer screen.

I cel & install Solar systems, Regulators and Batteries, that's part of my experience.
I've personally been using Solar to recharge storage batteries while running a 70 Ltr F/F and 12v accessories 24/7 since 1996, so I don't have to go out and do basic research or home work, as it's done on a daily basis.

The frame on a Sharp panel is countersunk and uses countersunk screws to join the frame, which is also thicker and wider than a Suntech, that's also fact.

If you check who is number one (1) solar panel manufacturer in this world will you post it here please, yes it is one I have mentioned lol and then please show a link to your evidence showing Suntech is number 4 in the world, ummm number 4 at what ???

The polycrystalline Sharp panel will start working in lower light than ANY multycrystalline panel, that's their major benefit, unfortunately their drawback is cost, if you want an elcheapo system you have to expect similar results.

All panels I recomend also have 20 year warranty too.
Value for money realy means; if you pay a low price you get a low result that is equal to the price.

I await the links :-))
