80 series 1hz t motor low end power

just got back back from a 10 week trip north did the injectors befour i left improved my top end power but will not pull under 2000 revs any ideas. motor has done 265000ks and the factory turbo is untouched thanks mal b

Check the turbo wastegate for carbon holding it open

Mal,

We've had 2 80 series turbo's, and both of them have been "slugs" <2,000rpm. Once the turbo spools up they're not too bad.

Was advised on this forum, that there is an adjustment to the pump, that compensates for this sluggishness, though I haven't had it done.

Our current wagon has done over 296K kms, and still gets along okay.

Get it dyno'd - it's sounds like a fuel pump issue.
