Have the opportunity to buy a set of 6 ROH rims and Cooper ST tyres at a good price, they are 275/75/16 with rims to suit a Patrol MQ. I think the offset is such that it would be a narrower track on my 80 series, which I don't want... however, my mate has a 60 series. Is there a chance that the offset of the rim would be suitable for a 60 series? Does anyone know if I am correct in that the offset difference would give me a narrower track on the 80 series?

I am not able to go see the tyres now and try them out (I am in NZ), but the guy has to sell them by the weekend. If I can get a mate to check the condition of them for me and I know the offset is ok, I am tempted to buy them sight unseen.Cheers,
Wazza

Wazza,

Assuming that the ROH Rims are White Spoke 16x7, then ROH make only one rim which fits either Nissan or Toyota 6 stud regardless of model and this will have an offset of approx 25mm.

If they are 16x8 then the same applies except that the offset is slightly greater.

Cheers,

Gordon

Rox, thanks mate. I have decided to send my mate out to have a look at them. He will buy them anyway if they are good as the guy says they are. If they are not suitable for the 80, they should be good for my mate's 60 series. The deal is 6 x ROH 16x8 rims and 6 x 265/75/16 Cooper ST's of which 5 of them are 80% and one is brand new for $950 delivered. Says rims were once on a Pajero, then on his Patrol. Am offering him $850 pick up. Thanks again. Bet you are looking forward to the trip round oz then!Cheers,

Before you buy them be sure they fit.I understand that early rims fitted to 80 series strike the brake caliper. So make sure you have clearance between rim and caliper body.Gotta get out there. Debbie and Mike

Thanks Mike, my mate is looking at them today. Have given up on the idea that the will fit my 80. If they fit his 60, or they are in really good nick, we are going to get them. Even if it is to sell off later to a mate as they are good value. Like your motto.
