Hi all and happy fathers day.

The minister for all things took the family wagon, 2003 Challlenger, out and returned complaining that the air con wasn't working.

A quick check revealed the drive belt had come off and was damaged.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace. Looks like it needs to be done from underneath as there is no way I can see to gain access to the pullies or the tensioner from above?

It can be done quite easliy, although the space is somewhat tight. Somewhere on http://msport97.proboards6.com/index.cgi? there is some info on how to change the belt. There is a lock nut that you need to loosen BEFORE you move the belt tension adjustment nut. Check the DIY section. If you have no joy, reply to this message and I will try and give some more details.

Good luck

Thanks for your help. Found the info, with pictures, still not sure if I need to do this from underneath.

Any other advice will be greatly appreciated.

If I could find a service manual I would be OK, but no-one seems to produce them for the Challenger.

Thanks for all your help. Managed the belt installation over the weekend without a problem.
