Hello everyone, I have made a battery pack using a 'Deka DP31PCS' that I use to run the 35l Waeco. I cannot find the amp/hr rating anywhere just for interest and comparison sake and to work out if I need a second battery pack for when I go away or get a 80l waeco. Have I got the wrong type of battery? Deka website doesnt tell much. I think it may be an AGM too. Can anyone please advise. I bought it Nov. 05 as a starting and fridge battery for the Econovan work car from TJM and cant remember all the details.
cheers
Boris

Just had a quick look on the web and can find a few sites with specifications and all they give is CCA and Reserve Capacity (RC). To me this indicates that you have been sold a starting battery that is not very suitable for deep cycling. Unless you have use for it in a starting application you may as well get some use out of until it collapses due to misapplication. There are rough conversions for RC to AH @20hour rates, read through http://www.batteryfaq.org/ and you will find more on batteries, I think you may find your answer there.

Thanks Peter, thats a great site and Ive placed it in my favourites folder. Ive found that my battery is a dual purpose battery (starting/deep cycle) so really it should also have a amp/hr rating too I believe. I havent had a thorough look through the site yet to see whether I can work out the rating I need, been to busy. Maybe Derek could give me a quick approximate answer.
Cheers
