Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knew for sure if you can put a LPG
tank underneath a 60 series - maybe by replacing the sub
tank like you can on say a 80 series?
Cheers,
Dave.

I used to have an FJ60 on duel fuel. They don't have a sub-
tank, only a 90litre main. However
mine had an aftermarket petrol
tank in the middle of it (can't remember how big) and the gas
tank went where the main
tank sits and the spare wheel was placed in the cab.
Cheers,
Mark.

I suggerst you ask a licenced gas installer. Maybe ask a few as opinions may vary. If you're looking at any off road travel save up and get a diesel with duel tanks.

Hi Dave,
I also had an FJ62 Sahara years ago on Dual Fuel.
The main
tank and spare wheel were removed to fit a "Bronco"
tank behind the rear axle. The Bronco gas
tank was one purposely built for Ford Broncos. It was a 140L
tank which held 115L of gas. The main reason I went with this
tank is that it has a wall thickness of 6mm instead of the usual 3mm and legally did not require a bash plate to protect it which gave me more ground clearance.
I fitted a 125 litre aftermarket fuel
tank under the belly of the car and the spare wheel went on a carrier on the ack bumper.
An expensive exercise but gave me a decent rage whichever fuel was available.
Regards,
Brett

Had my 60 series changed over in July.
Mine also had a 70 litre after market
tank installed along the belly.
After removing the main
tank and the spare wheel the I was able to get two 85 litre LPG tanks fitted in the space. It gives 140L of usable gas and hangs down lower than the spare wheel originally did, giving heaps of ground clearance.
Cost savings are great, with about $60 giving my 500km around town and 600km on the highway. Good luck with it!
