moomba gas pipeline road adelaide to moomba

Can anybody tell me if there are any restrictions to using the gas pipeline road up from yunta to the straz track. We have stopped to have lunch on the pipeline road that crossed the martins well - frome downs road. It does look attractive, its straighter and smoother than the main road. Any comments

They don't like you doing that. May even be a rule or law somewhere against it. Yes it does look enticing....lol

thanks willem, but i wonder if you can apply for a permit to use the road. Eg the Tom Price rail line across to the coast in WA

I will see what I can find out from the local pipeline people here as we have a pump station just out of town, Will have to be Monday though. Maybe there is something on Origin Energy Website?
