My exide extreme wasn't holding charge as well as it should so with a couple of months to go on the warranty I thought it about time to swap her over. Well I remeber when I bought it almost 2 yrs ago I paid $165 and missed a sale by a couple of weeks where they were $135. I couldn't believe the price of $214.95 I saw on saturday! Yep that's quite a price hike! Time to look at something else nextime.

The price of lead has gone through the roof...that is the problem.

Shop around. I saw them for $214 less 25% at K-mart and thought about buying. Then went to Battery World and got them for $108 each! I did buy 2 so maybe got a bulk buying discount or maybe the salesman made a mistake!

I bought a new Exide Extreme 85 ah 3 weeks ago at the local garage for $165 and he apologised for it being dear, perhaps I got a bargain!
