Ok - evening all!

Got my Podigy Brake Controller today and now have to fit the thing so the question is:

Where in a 1996 model 80 series cruiser did you fit yours so it complies with the instruction sheet?

Looking forward to your replies....

Mount it on the L.H. side of the steering column under the dash close to the gearbox bump.

There is a metal strip that you can screw into.

Derek.

Remove the ash tray and mount it in there without the bracket on, when you arn't using it just remove the brake controller, unplug the plug, and put the ash tray back in.

Hi Crazy,

Contrary to other suggestions, I would recommend you use high quality double sided tape, if necessary fabricate an appropriate bracket and mount it on the top of the dash in easy reach of a hand on the steering wheel. Rarely an occasion will arise when you want to steady the rig by using the manual lever on the Prodigy - in this situation you will want to access it quickly and easily, not by reaching down around your knees, possibly needing to take your eyes off the road to find the bloody thing! Also if you're more than 4 feet tall, there's not much knee room and it's hard to find a spot down there. Also in this position, if rigidly mounted, it can knock the knee around in an accident.

Even disregarding the emergency situations, it is much simpler and safer to adjust the device if mounted in easy reach of a hand and the eyes.

Regards,

Mark
