If I bought a caravan new in late 2006 and paid $45,000 and was told at the time by numerous people that it was a good buy.
If I was to sell it now, at the end of 2007 what could i expect to get for it? It is still in very good ie new condition.
Thanks in advance

Hi Kirby , i bought a jayco Freedom back in 2004 paid $22000 for it sold it earlier this year for exactly the same price. caravans , provided they have ben looked after seem to hold their value rather
well , so i would be asking near enough to what you paid for it .....Cheers.....Dave

I'm guesing no,but did you buy it new? Why not give the make and model and members can give you a more accurate valuation, maybe.

There is a big difference between asking prices and the actual sales.

Hi Andrew.
I recently sold a Windsor Rapid by advertising in the Sunday Times over here (WA) for the same as we paid 4 years previously.
I did a bit of research by checking ads. out and thought it was a bit rich to expect to get full asking price but did, and had others say they would have paid the same for it.
The buyer said he'd checked the yards (pity I didn't first) and ours was in far better condition than what the dealer had for sale and cheaper than his as
well.
Bugger.
Try high and you can always come down a bit after all you're not trying to sell some clapped out Toyosan with suspect engine or
suspension are you.
Happy selling.
Alan.

If yours is exactly what someone is looking for, that must be worth quite a few thousand $. Available now, as opposed to a long waiting list is worth it to some people. Some off-roader type vans are out to at least 10 months now.
