Hi all just another question, Im not sur of the type of boost gauge to buy for my 98 mod toyota 100 ser diesle it has a A/M safarie kit on it and the fella said 1 gauge reads ( 0-15) the other (0-30 ) and if Im only going to read about 7 or 8 pound that it will look like Im hardly getting a reading on the (0-30) but if Im running close to 13 or 14 I will need to use the (0-30) so does anyone have one or know what my 4B would run at ?
Regards J.B.

Hi Johnny Boy,
I don’t have any experience in this but am investigating the installation of an after market turbo on a 100 series. These motors have some weakness which mean that if you wind up the boost you will damage the motor. It seems acceptable boost levels are in the 7-10 range. Was talking to my mechanic and he showed me a 79 ute he was working in the needed major work. The pump was wound upto 14, apparently the truck went like stink for the previous owner but was damaging the head.
So from my limited knowledge I think a 0-15 range gauge would be the go.
Paul.

I run a 0-30 on my 95 hdft, it runs 12 psi..what you have to look for is one gauge that starts at 0 and has no negitive pressure as diesels dont produce vacuum in the manifold.

Hi Dozer, I just spoke to a guy last night that educated me on that one becaue I was comparing it to the gauge on my mates Turbo charged LJ torana so now I will just buy a simple (0-15) VDO gauge so it wont look lost on the gauge as I have been told if I use the 30 gauge it might hardly move off the scale ?? wich makes the 15 fine , thanx for the input mate I really apprecate it .
Reagrds John.
