I've searched the archive and found plenty of info about thermo fans like the Davies Craig, successfully used in the Patrol 4.2.
Currently looking at replacing the power sapping clutch fan. I would like to know if anyone has details on the results of fitting these fans to a 95 series Prado TD.
I don't need theories and hearsay on what such a setup might or might not do or what effect it had on a different vehicle, but facts on an actual case eiither successful or not.
Davies Craig have no fitting details but suggest, as they do, that I will get better cooling. So I guess I'm sussing out the practicalities and likelihood of success.
Thanks

Yes and no.
But I can't tell you anything about why and why not to use thermo fans.

No replies :-(( Once you eliminate theories and heresay, theres nothing left!!!!
I've had a lot to do with Prado diesels since they were released in 2000 - have never heard of anyone fitting electric fans, probably because the viscous coupling rarely is required to lock in.
