We recently purchased a windsor rapid with the external shower and 2 water tanks.

We found it very hard to fill the water tanks as the water just kept coming back out. Has anyone else had this problem?

We would also like to put a third tank on for showers only so that we can fill up with river water if required on long trips. Does any one know if we can do this and have a seperate tank to supply the shower only?

Should we empty the tanks after each trip and keep them empty until next trip or should we top them up and leave them full after each trip?

Any suggestions/comments would be very helpful.

1. You can get a quick click fitting that will fit your hose end and has a barbed other end that will fit into a 1/2" hose. Use this to connect a short length of hose to your water hose. You just poke the short length of hose into the filler hose and problems fixed.

2. Have your tanks re plumbed. Separate the tanks so you can have one for drinking water and the other for general water. Add a second filler to fill the other tank. The drinking water tank is connected to a hand pump only. The general water tank is connected to the high pressure system. If you do install another tank - make that the drinking water tank and only use the hand pump on it.

3. You have started a Holden/Falcon type argument here. Which ever way you go either keep the tank 100% full or 100% empty. I use the full option - it is tto hard to completely empty ALL of the water out.
