I use an extensive array of
tools and machinery in my business. Some cheap and some top quality depending on their intended use.
An example of spanners is an el cheapo 10mm ring spanner that rounded out the first time I used it. Another is that I use 10mm and 13mm sockets on a rattle gun a hell of a lot. The 10 is a $1.50 job and the 13 is a $9 Sidchrome. The 10 is rounded out and the Sidchrome is like new.
My point is, if I was out in the middle of nowhere and had to do a repair job, I would take the best quality
tools I could afford. Not being able to undo a particular bolt size can be the difference between being stuck and moving on. Not to mention skinned knuckles.
Incidentally, Supercheap have a range of their premium spanners which they compare with Kinchrome and offer a lifetime warranty. I'm here to tell you they are top quality at a fair price; I've thrashed them to death.

I put up a post a few months ago I think about the cheap chinese crap tools, Had some silly replies, I am one who believes in buying the the better brands once, not the cheap crap every few months, not the best because I am not a professional mechanic but I like something that will not as you say last 10 minutes, Yes Supercheap has some very good quality products, ie the HSV Tools , I got the small set costing $74.00, I had to buy a new electric Jug yesterday in Harvey norman, could not find one NOT made in china, not even in the $100 + models

I once broke a 10mm open ended spanner undoing the brake line nut on the rear wheel on my Cruiser.
That really amazed me & yes it was a cheap kit from Supercheap.
