Member Lucy (Lucky) and I did a few tracks this last weekend and met with local EO Member Chris G in planning the 10th - 11th November weekend. On the Saturday I think we did about 80kms of track of varying standard and grade. We had to do a certain amount of track clearance of fallen trees. More info nearer the date.

The camp site we are favouring has access by bitumen road and is suitable even for motor homes if you have them! There is a capability for Next G and digital phones, but position may need to be adjusted for best results. Next G internet would probably be available with exernal antenna. Able to watch the magnificent Hot Pies too on Friday night.

For those not wanting to be driving all the time there are about 25 vineyards around the district. It is planned that there will be some in the trips around the Pyrenees.

We anticipate having a handout of district information for each car. The information would include a paper 'mud' map, but I also wish to be able to have some mapping available for PDAs too of the area for download, also the position of the campsite. I am not sure where that will be placed yet but will have a hot link to there prior to the date. The trips and gathering info is at Member Trips

There is a good pic we have at the top of the hill too Ross, but you don't get the perspective of the hill so well. Actually you get little true information of what it was like. We saw it from another angle and Robbo asked, "did I see a near vertical hill back there?" He was wide eyed through the UHF I could hear.

Kev, Lucky is at the Winch Challenge in Gippsland and the flag bearer is no longer OS, so it is hard to get the tourist shots now. I guess I could 'take' some more, bearing in mind I 'took' the ones of Trevi Fountain and the CN Tower in Toronto.... ;-))))

Ah, Gramps, I think I agree. I don't have to even wriggle my nose to expel flag pics on my computer and burn the electrons. Lucky eventually realised that the flag I had was a "Photoshop" one I had grabbed from one of his Warraweena pics.

Kev, I can send Trev that one perhaps and he wouldn't find it here then. LOL On the other hand only 20 minutes North.......... :-))) he may find it

awwwrite, suitable for swags too. LOL .... We had central heating, beer and Hollicks SA red as well. Xy movies after the Pies made their run. No blue glasses required, just a working knowledge of Spanish.

The air-conditioning was free. If you wanted a chill night there was another camp up the top but space for a limited number of campers there.

Really Nudie, its even easy for you to get there... ;;-)))
