FYI:
"At 10.30am yesterday the second satellite from the 4 launched in May
2007 has been placed into its final orbit and switched on. It is a
little early to gauge what improvements will be felt with satellite call
performance but the feedback from our Dubbo Gateway is that this
satellite is performing perfectly and "Running Hot".The remaining two
satellites are expected in be in service by mid-October. The launch of a
further 4 satellites is expected to take place around that time also."
Cheers

The one thing you do not want to do on EO is speak for a product or Company or recommend a product while Mike is around , I don't know what it is but it really gets him fired up,
Now with a bit of luck I can sneak this message to you and get the hell outa here before he see's it .......ZZzzzoooommm ..gone

Doug: if you would stop telling people who have expertise in particular areas that they know nothing whilst pontificating your own opinions on those same areas you'll find you get into less conflict. There are a lot of people on the internet and some of us actually do know what we're talking about in our specialist areas. It's what we're paid for on a daily basis.
Perhaps I should proffer my opinions on heart surgery - no doubt you'd argue against them too - hell! I'm sure you would argue against Christiaan Barnard on that subject :)
This
forum has already lost Collyn Rivers because he became fed up with "opinionated experts" - I can see where he was coming from.

Something needs to be done with Globalstar. We meet 4 travellers on the CSR a couple of weeks ago and none of them could get service, and that was after a couple of days of trying.
Iridum was ok most of the time.
HF all the time.
We had none of the above, so it was a impartial observation.
