I found a solution to the problems with these seats. Not as good as Stratos but pretty good and light years better than the originals. Little cost. Kmart sell some some combined
seat covers with a shaped back and
seat section. I've had
mine a few years, cost about $40.00 originally. Not covers. just two bits that joing together and you put on top of the
seat. Then I put el cheapo sheepskin covers over them. Back support quite good. Back side side ridges big enough to hold you in but
seat hopeless. Just tried a piece of the green egg crate foam from Clarkes on the
seat section, under the sheepskin. Brilliant. Had the foam cut big enough so that it fold over the front edge of the
seat, under the sheepskin. Gives a little more support under the thighs. Total cost. Sheepskin covers $40. Foam $30 Kmart things about $40. Driver happy and even more importantly in terms of driver comfort on long trips, wife happy. No engineere certificates required for changeover seats either.

I meant to add, the foam comes in different densities. Tried a couple and think the green is the best.
