G'day
Can anyone give me advice on
suspension modifications for my Holden Frontera that won't invalidate my warranty? A little higher would be nice.
Thanks in anticipation.

I do not know about warranty problems but I fitted TJM Series 2000 to
mine. It raised the rear 70mm and they adjusted the front up 50mm. (Saved me having to adjust the headlights that were too high.) It works
well. We just did a week in the Victorian high country and everywhere the Cruisers and Patrols went, we went. The ride is a little firmer but not excessively so. I also noted that fully loaded for a week away camping the rear only settled 10mm.
We had one problem with the Frontera whilst we were away and that was the rear window. One very cold morning it bleep tered. We had just left
camp, there was a vehicle about 20 m behind and another about 20m in front. we were doing about 30kph. I had just turned the rear demister off when it happened. The road was a good dirt road. I have no idea why it happened. Holden replaced it under warranty, no arguements.
I also have a long range tank fitted and Milford cargo barrier. If you are going to fit a cargo barrier in the forward position it needs some thought as it does not fit
well. I think the barrier is about 30mm too high and it was hitting the roof. The rear position is fine. Contact me through ExplorOz if you have not fitted one but want to.
I am about to make a storage rack for the back. I think $2500 for two draws and a fridge slide is a bit much so I am going to have a go myself. We intend doing the big trip next year so any ideas in this storage area would be appreciated.
All the best
Richard

Many thanks for this Richard, much appreciated.
After a few more enquiries about warranty, I'm not so concerned now about invalidation. In fact, the local Holden dealer made some recommendations which I've yet to
check out.
Nice to find another Frontera owner in the
membership. You don't hear too much about them eh? Like you I've not been disappointed with my purchase. Although I've not done any "big" trips yet, it certainly goes where I want to go.
Strange about the back window. Haven't thought about the cargo barrier yet or indeed the storage area but will watch yours with interest.
Again, thanks for the response. We should stay in touch.
Cheers.
