The things that commonly break on trailers in the bush are
leaf springs,
drawbar (bend and snap where they join the body of the trailer from too much weight up forward)
axles
bearings (usually lack of maintenance), but bearing hubs can break too.
Seems like you may have to do a lot of upgrading if you want to take a
well loaded trailer over corrugated outback roads. I used to take a trailer out bush before they made offroad ones. It was Treg brand with 1.25T capacity, and had 8-leaf springs, 2.5T axle and chev bearings that were huge. It handled things
well. It was built in 1960, and is still going strong.
