We are so excited. In three days time we set off to WA. With our little Rav4, an A-van, three surfboards, two fishing rods, some snookling gear, a guitar and a laptop. Destination - north WA coast. Route - Gold Coast (Home), Darwin and then west. Time frame - three months. We have a solar panal, had an Anderson plug installed, have two 4.5 kg gas bottles for cooking and running fridge and 80 lts of water. I hope that should enable us to stay in one place and be self sufficient for about three days. We now want to search out those pristine beaches we have seen and watched you guys talk about. If anyone can advise of peaceful, cheep (free would be good), surf spots we would really appreciate your tips.

No that’s snuggling, or snogging or it could be snookling. I meant snorkelling, I think? It’s going to be good trip!!

Having just returned from Perth to the GC I can assure you that it's a LONG way to drive. Watch out for the roadworks east of Norseman, and heavy winds across the continent.
have fun, and drive safely.

Naah. Hop skip and a jump. :))) Getting a tad warmish up there this time of year, so it's probably a hop, skip, slurp and a jump.

Hi guys most of the beaches from Broome sth to almost Exmouth are nice but the tides are big and it is now stinger season up there so make sure you have the full stinger suit if you plan on surfing in Broome.
Exmouth is popular for surfing in the gulf, but by far the best surfing beaches are in the south anywhere from Geraldton to Esperance.
There are some free camps along the coast away from the towns. Sth of Broome try Cape Keraudren at $7 a night and further sth from Roebourne is Cleaverville then sth to Exmouth - no free spots here though. Good luck
