Much as I hate to say it, I don't reckon the Cats can win.

Measuring stick 1:
-Port and Geelong have both flogged the ring out of North in the last two weeks.

Measuring Stick 2:
-Port are the only team to beat Geelong in the last 18 games, and it was only a few weeks ago.

Measuring Stick 3:
-Geelong looked very ordinary against Collingwood and only just squeaked into this GF despite their form throughout the year.

Measuring Stick 4:
-Geelong since 1963 have lost 5 grand finals in a row. It seems they don't know how to win.

Their only saving grace is that they are coached by a Kevin Sheedy protege, but then so is Port.

I wish them well and hope for the best. I hope they prove me wrong.

Jimbo I have been thinking the same - but I have a real dilemma - I am an ex Victorian of 40 years and I dont want a Vic team to win the GF - you Vics think you own the game - but I dislike Port & put them in the same category at the Dockers and the Magpies (guess who I support!) So come on Port - show the Cats how the out of towners play real football (having said that, wasnt last nights game just so good)

Trekkie old boy, I'm an Australian, don't believe in the State parochial bullchit. I lived in FNQ for 8 years and the parochialism up there was unbearable, it was like another world.

Just to correct you, we Australians own this wonderful game, any Vics who think it is their right are misguided fools.

I am a Port supporter so no prizes guessing who I am barracking for, but after hearing Robert Walls waffle on about how it is a for gone conclusion that the Cats will kick butt (which he also said last time we beat them) my family will be baracking that much harder. C'mon Port.

The waiting list for my drawers is out to about four weeks at present, people are coming from the clouds.

I'm putting on more staff next week to bring the time back. I'm going to have to get a bigger factory soon.

As a Crows supporter I can only say GO THE CATS

I am not a fence sitter, so there's no way I'm going to say "Port are South Australian so I hope they win"

But on saying that the best team on the day will win

Cheers Luke

As a port supporter I wouldnt want a crows supporter jumping on the bandwagon.
Here in the West they talk about the derby but they dont realize the riverly is nothing. Due to the way the crows were formed there would be no bigger grudge match in the AFL

Ahh , but Baz , at least it can be called "football" as in ball on foot not like the derivative of the kids game british bulldog that the NRL calls football where the ball is passed by HAND for 99% of the game and grown men get to huddle together and play touchy my bum, in the scrum ,,lol.

Like I said ladies,

"I wish them well and hope for the best. I hope they prove me wrong."

Very pleased for a close relative of mine who is a long suffering Cats fan. I spoke to him just after the game and he is out of his skin. I suppose all the Geelong fans are the same and how wonderful they must feel now.

Just as well I don't gamble LOL.

Cheers,

Jim.
