Cruise control for 3l Patrol

Well, I thought I had posted this an hour ago but it seems to have disappeared! So here it is again!
I have an '06 3l auto Patrol that I use to tow a 2.5 ton van. I have read somewhere (probably on this
forum) that Nissan do not fit cruise control to these Patrols because of a conflict or inconsistency in the interface between the cc system and the engine management system.
Can someone on the
forum confirm this and maybe explain why?
Do after-market cc systems, such as Autron, suffer the same problems?

I might be wrong here, but I never tow with criuse control on. End of story..
