I've done a search and read the various posts regarding the MTZs.
I'm looking at them as an alternative to Goodyear MTRs.
Anybody got some long term K's on them now? How is the wear rate? How about the performance with a bit of wear? Any info appreciated...
Regards, Mick.

I would
sign up at this
forumhttp://the4wdzone.com/community/index.php
and ask the question there as alot of those guys use the MTZ's and love them. The few trips I have been on with them has proven that they perform
well. They all rave about them.

I've only done about 5000km on
mine - so far thay have been great. Being a mud tyre I expected them to dig and not perform as
well as a HT/AT in the sand but I have been pleasantly suprised to find they are at least as good (maybe better) than my HTs in soft sand.
On the road under 80kmh there is hardly any diffference to the HTs but at 100kmh they are definately noiser and the steering has just the slightest hint of vagness(sp??).
As you would expect they excel in the mud.

Hi Mike
I had
mine for around 10k and love em
Trips sofar Beach port
Robe not a problem in sand
Coxes Scrub - you can feelem bit in and pull you out
Pyrnees lots of steap stuff and not a slip in sight
Flinders Painted Dessert They come hoem with hardly a scratch.
I do adjust my pressures and seem to do better than a mate of
mine that pushes them hard at high pressures.
I brought
mine for what the do off road not on But have a button the dash that fixes the road noise
It's called the volume button on the Radio.
Got
mine from Total Traction Tyres at Londsdale and got good advise as
well on what will and wont fit.
Good luck
Trevor

Can anyone confirm or deny that these are made by Cooper "tires"??
If so are they the exact same construction/compounds as STT's with a different tread?

i've got about 25k on
mine on a GU ute, they're about half worn i think, maybe a little less.
not big km's but a hell of a lot of on road, i had them out in
corner country earlier in the year and they stood up pretty
well to the gibber roads etc.
