Hi all

just a quick question. Can someone please tell me what year Toyota started making the newer model landcruiser that came standard with the 4.2ltr turbo and larger cab, was it 2002?

Didn't know they upgraded the 100 SERIES, they did stick a Lexus badge on it too charge more money for the same car.

The change took place in the October 2002.
That is going by what is in the ARB price list.

The 100 Series first came into Australia in September 2000 with the Turbo Diesel engine.

The 'upgrade in 2002 was the replacement of the 'big' straight 6 in favour of the V8 petrol.

I stole this from the LCOOL site as I asked this a couple of weeks ago on behalf of a mate - He just got an '01 T/D GXL 100 Series.

Here's a good thread on this from a very knowledgeable person who is a moderator on this forum and has one of the few solid axle 1 HD-FTE cruisers in captivity
