Was in at the Nissan dealer today discussing holding off to see what would be on offer or going for the new cruiser ute. Info from him, albeit unconfirmed and rumours we have already heard.
New 3L ute in November 07
New 5.7L ute late next year, with new styled exterior and interior cab but with Independent front end.
Food for thought.

I think it was 4x4 australia mag that said the patrol would be going to what nissan called the "
alpha platform" essentially the chassis that the new ute and wagon would be built on. And yes the
alpha platform only allows IFS.
Apparently it is very similar to the Parthfinder in construction but just wider and longer. If Nissan go for a big american styled pickup with ifs, it wont be long untill toyota bring out the Tundra to Australia to compete with Nissan.
So is it a new cruiser V8 diesel with live axels or do you wait for a so far non existent Patrol ute, hmm let me think????
c'mon buy the cruiser go to arb/tjm work it over and live on the edge

Good One T-Lux
Live on the edge, but live in comfort!!!!!! :)
Wont be waiting fot the 5.7l patrol, could be too old to drive by then, and wont be buying a 3l ute either.

5.7 kitre Nissan sounds like a 5.7 litre Titan that is available in the US. NOT a diesel where the 4.2 litre ute has been a strength. Pretty wide of a lot of Australian tracks so they will clear the way for others to follow, but take a lot of paint off the sides of the vehicles :-P))
