Hi all,
Just bought a new 70 series GXL v8 turbo diesel ute.
Have read some horror stories on the net about the new fuel system
not been able to handle ANY contamination at all.
Does anyone know if the fuel pump could handle an extra filter.
Cheers................BIGDOG

Do they still have the second auxilary filter like the earlier 75's, 78's and 79's?
If so you would probably be best to remove it before fitting another filter which should of course be of a better quality and filtration.
You might have to be the guinea pig ;-))

I'm assuming your V8 ute doesn't already have the twin filters - the previous models did.
If you're adding an extra filter, then install it before the main factory filter. If fuel starvation were to be an issue, then an inline fuel pump (??Walbro pump) can solve that problem.
