I just searched on youtube for "2008 landcruiser". A nine part series of videos came up showing the the 200 Series at the launch in Japan. Worth watching.
Cheers,

I would love to know how long the mirror on the front quarter panel would last.
It is ugly as.

I agree, the mirror on the bonnet is ugly and waiting to get knocked off. Thankfully only the Japs get it.
One South Africa site I came across quoted something like 212kw for the V8 TD. Impressive but I have heard 195kw, 200kw and now 212kw. Have to wait and see.
4.7 V8 petrol now gets VVTI and pushes power to 210kw or 215kw depending on where you read it from. Petrol carries over the 5 speed auto. Diesel gets the new 6 speed.

I saw the info package dealers are getting today. There's way more info on the net, however, it did say "in excess of 190kW" for the TD so I expect 195kW is going to be on the money. I guess the "chip" industry will thrive.
The US website shows a whole bunch of specs for their petrol only model including a single fuel
tank holding 96 litres. I can't believe that Aussie Toyota Execs would allow a Cruiser in here with less fuel capacity than the 100 series, here's hoping. Otherwise second hand 100s will be very popular.

I would hope the 200 would rival the Prado on fuel capacity.
Speaking about chips, this site already has the 200 listed.

I think you will find there might be new laws in the US of A which say you can't have a fuel
tank behind the rear axle.
All the new jeeps have changed to reflect this.
But they have always had other overseas models with one
tank, but we still usually get two.
