Suspension question

G'day all,
Just a quick question re ebay suspension; has anyone looked at or tried the 2" Blue Max shocks and Blue King springs setup or the 2" Desert Fox and Dobinson coils setup? are they any good for just a cheap lift?

cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
You don't say what type of vehicle you're fitting them to.

Can't comment on the Ebay purchase.

Did have Blue Max gear (leaf springs, shocks and steering damper) fitted to the Suzuki and while it wasn't a lift kit, the vehicle now sits 65mm higher in the front and 75mm in the rear and the ride has improved as well. Wasn't cheap to do, but well worth it!!

Cheers Wayne.

One day they will understand.

HI Wayne,
After doing a lengthy forum search i found positive feedback for the Blue Max gear, but not Desert Fox.
I have an 80 series 97 model with standard suspension and looking at purchasing a 2" lift kit. Will probably go with the Blue Max gear.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
I can't understand the lack of responses to your question, surely someone has heard of/bought the other brands you have asked about??

Had OME on my 60 for about nine years now, after market gear "lifted" it 100mm in the front and 110 in the rear, has been good until recently when it started to sag with the CT in tow. During a trip the rear of the Cruiser would sink by 50mm, unhook the CT overnight and it resumed the normal level, which sank during the next day. Put Blue Max leaf springs in, retained the OME shocks, and the vehicle rides much better!
In short I'm saying that you may not need a "lift kit" as such.

Cheers,
Wayne.
