Aussie Traveller "Coolabah" awning

We own a Coromal Pioneer Sillhouette camper trailer and would like to buy a "Coolabah" awning for it. The retailers tell us they have fitted about 15 of these to Coromal's. Can anyone give us their opinion about these awnings fitted to these camper trailers

We have that awning and are used to it now. A bitch to use to begin with becasue it's hard to get to mounted high on our fiull van. Would be a breeze on the Coromal. It is a lot more solid when up then the Aussie Traveller Sunburst or Dometic equivalent and will take a lot of wind buffetting. On caravans it doesn't have arms down the van that can catch on branches or suffer rock damage on dirt tracks.
Might be worth looking at Fiamma range also if they will fit. There is a model that uses sail track to mount with. It can be removed altogether if need be. Comes in a zip bag. 2 mins to erect.

I've got a Fiamma Caravan Store bag awning mounted on the sail track of my
Kimberley Karavan.
About 3 minutes to erect or dismantle.
I think it's brilliant. Weighs 8kg's.
Can be removed from the van very easily.
3metre long * 2.1 wide and less than $500.00.

We had one fitted to our Silhouette when we owned it. Absolutely fantastic piece of kit.
We had it fitted by the NSW agent in Penrith and they did an excellent job workmanship wise. The have a special extrusion made to fit it to the curved roof and it looks like original equipment.
The main thing is to get it unpacked before you wind the roof up all the way, otherwise you'll need a step ladder even with the long handle they supply as you won't be able to reach the locking handle.
We bought the annexe walls as
well but only used them a couple of times. Good if you're staying in one place for a while but too much bother for an overnighter.

Had exactly the same done for our Silhoutte by the guys at Penrith when we purchased 2 years ago. The extrusion they make to fit the curve is great as said above.
It is just so handy to set up in a few minutes and we don't always put the annex walls up but usually put the ends up if it is a bit windy.
You have summed it all up as above.
