Cargo Barrier Help - GU Patrol

I fitted a Milford in my GU3 - while ago now though.

Be helpful if you described the problem you are having in a bit more detail.

Only thing I can think of is that there are 2 mounting positions - one behind front seats and one behind middle row seats. The arms going to fixing point for each position are of a different length. Therefore, one set of arms are not used. Are you trying to use the wrong one's??

You will need to purchase a mounting kit It will come with detailed instructions. You need to drill holes etc to make it happen..

i have a 100 series and the top straps are long(reach to rear top seatbelt holes)and the bottom straps are short but dont reach anything so i installed some nutserts in the floor to bolt it to and it works nicely.and it came from a 100 series but i couldnt make it line up no matter what i did!!cheers Paul

It all sounds too complex having to drill holes in the truck to make it all fit. On this occasion I think I will take the smart option and find someone to install this professionally. Thanks for all the responses.

A word of warning with regards to installing second hand cargo barriers; when I contacted Milford to enquire about installing a second hand barrier that I considered purchasing, they told me that they would not do it, citing the fact that their barriers are not warrantied if installed into a second vehicle. I contacted another installer, who said they would install a second hand barrier, but, legally, they would have to remove the placard, so the safety rating went to zero. Also, the quote I received for installation ($230), made it more viable for me to purchase a new barrier and get Milford to install it. I don't know what the insurance ramifications would be in the case of an accident, if your company found out that you had a used barrier in your vehicle. Maybe someone could shed some light on this?

I got one and its not easy but read it fully and u can do it.

In a 100 series if u pull the inner plastic trims off there are little starter holes where the barrier goes. May be the same in Pootrol

The threaded holes in the floor are for child restraints NOT CARGO BARRIERS
The cargo barrier holes have to be drilled in a specific place as shown on the instructions
Do not use the handhold bolts as they are only 6mm bleep metal and the cargo barrier ones are 12mm high tensile

The only trouble you will have is if you have a Patrol with rear seat aircon as the roof is lower and they wont fit (mainly in STS or STL)
My friends V8 Croozer has this and they had to sort of slant it back a bit to get it in. Not really wise but doable

The only diff I know of is between a DX or ST and ST-L or TI. The latter two have rear aircon and the barrier is different (shorter due roof line dips for aircon duct).
