Howdy, have a look on Google with something like 'australiain gps locations' it borught up 180,000 + hits for me. Surely there'll be something that meets your demands amongst that lot. Good luck.

I wouldn't worry about Google too much , I bought a Dick Smith book once , the Co-Ords were so far out it wasn't funny, People have the habit of using Google to much, good for finding out about Rabbits in China ,
These days I would suggest using ExplorOz , go to the PLACES tab above and type in the place you want or use the Trek Tab with 1000s of Co-Ords , Say you want Wolfe Creek Crater Co-Ords , then go here Wolfe Creek Crater

I'm sure you will find what you need here,

Doug,

LOL is this some sort of penance for past sins. Next thing we know you'll be walking around the country with a sandwich board extolling the virtues of Exploroz.

Hey Doug,

If Skippy doesn't stop playing on the circuit then we are big chances for a win in the troopies!

Geoff,

Grey hair is hereditary, you get it from children. Baldness is caused by watching the Wallabies.

Before entering co-ordinates into your GPS do a little reading regarding "datums" and "co-ordinate" systems, lots of info here:

http://gpsinformation.net/

All co-ordinates (Lat/Long, UTM etc) are referenced to a datum and you _must_ set your GPS to the correct datum before entering any given co-ordinate otherwise your location will be incorrect.

By far the two most common datums used in Oz are AGD66 and WGS84 (GDA94 is identical to WGS84 - fapp). If you use co-ordinates created under WGS84 with AGD66 you'll be about 200m in error and vice versa.

An excellent booklet on map reading, published by auslig, is available here:

Click on "Map and compass guide"
