Has anyone done the Mala Uluru Tour at Ayers
Rock? It is expensive and I was wondering if it was worth the $75 per person tour fee.

Don't know id I've done that one. But have done a couple of indigenous tours out there and they haver all been worth the money. BTW $75 is not expensive at Uluru for anything!!! Won't be long before you are paying that out there for a
campsite!!!

G'day Wendy and Peter
In July we did the Mala Walk with a National
Park ranger for free, and the Kuniya
Waterhole sunset walk with indigenous guides at around the price you quote + a glass of make believe
champagne with which to watch the sunset on
the rock. The sunset walk involved a
young Australian interpreting for two delightfully mischievous indigenous ladies who spoke about the culture and history of the site, and also about bush tucker.
Hard to say whether the price is worth it, but there's no other way to get a closer experience of the indigenous culture.
If you go to
the desert park in
Alice Springs, you can get the bush tucker 'presentation' in more detail, from an indigenous guide, for free (after you've paid the entry fee of course.
Cheers
John G
