Mick,

I build these things for a living so can give you some useful advice. In the GU three points are enough. Remove the two luggage tie down point on the driver's side and the one nearest the front of the car on the passenger side.

You then buy some 6mm bolts, about 70mm long which bolt the unit back into the captive nuts under the floor.

Any queries, give me a call on 0411 874406 and I'll talk you through it.

Regards,

Jim.

Jim, you have just revived my faith in human kind. Your offer of assistance was a wonderful thing to do. As they say in the Navy, Bravo Zulu, well done. John

That's a better system Jim. Much prefer the decked drawers as opposed too the side by side. Much better access to the fridge and luggage etc doesn't foul the fridge slide and a guarantee air space is maintained around the fridge.

Gday Mick, I'll back Jimbo up on this one as well. I built a unit that is of similar apearance to his.....I was halfway through building it when Jimbo brought out his very reasonably priced flat pack units. After building mine, I wish he had brought them out earlier and I'd have bought one off him. After the $300 odd for drawer runners (good quality, smoothe and strong Haffle ones, so can't complain), $120 odd for marine carpet, $250 odd for ply, and probably $75 for a bit of steel, welding rods, bolts etc ....thats about $750. I then spent a lot of time cutting, welding etc the unit to get it just right. (It would be easy to do another now, hence jimbo can do most of the work for what I consider a very reasonable price)

Anyway, enough of promoting Jimbo's product(who I have never met and have no association with bla bla), the 3 bolt holes thing works well. With mine, slide the drawers and fridge right out, undo 3 bolts, and slide the whole unit out 'chuckwagon' style, and the whole unit is removed and in the shed....if I can make it fit!

Cheers Andrew

Thanks vor the kind words Andrew.

But, the units now come fully assembled and take about 5 minutes to fit.

Jim
