Have you considered visiting a large
camping store that may have some on display ans see what's available?
I realise forums can be helpful, but there are some things you can do for yourself as
well.

My aplogies, didn't realise that you were so busy with your work that the others have to help....
Mind you its a little hard to help with a request like yours. You are the one that really needs to have a look at what is available as you know what you want. There a tons of brands and styles around.

What about the Rays, Wild Country tourer tents. Safari, Tanami,
Kimberley and so on. I bought the Kimberly Family Tourer with heavy duty canvas and thick flooring and side poles for $300 on special normally $600 I think less the loyalty card discount. We haven't used it yet though, hopefully in 5 weeks time we will.

Oztents are awesome. Wouldn't leave home without ours. We are cooking tea when our friends are still fiddling around. Worth the money. Chris.

HI Chris, referring to OZ tents, are they the very long ones ?? Wife and I thinking of getting one. Would they need to be placed on roof rack or would they fit in the back of our Prado ?? Would need to fit a queen size self inflating matress or do they not make them that big ?? Thinking of doing the High Country again at xmas and currently have a nylon type but want some thing with a bit more height. Regards Steve M

From our experience there are a couple of considerations. Weight of tent and fly etc, where it is to be stored (eg on the roof) and the type of
camping (eg quick stops v longer stops).
Whilst the OZ Tent is great they are long and can only be carried on the roof of most ordinary 4WD's. The poles have been known to snap in strong winds (which is something that is of concern with the BW tents)
We have used the Micro Fast Tents (made by the same company that do the Oz Tents) - quick set up and pack up, very light, very durable, seperate poles (except the four largest which have a light weight pole at each end)
The sizes of the olders series go from a MI1 to a MI13 - we have three different sizes and have used them on many many trips away (both long and short) and in all sorts of country and weather. A fantastic and durable product.
Only problem is that the Amazon
Camping guys have stopped making them (you might want to confirm this) but you can still find them on some on line
camping store websites or E Bay or Trading Post.
Best place to do your due diligence review is a large National
Camping Show or State show and the Net - google Microfast Tents and have a look.
In the end opinions on tents is a little like opnions on cars - some people like Toyota's and some like Landrovers!
Good luck
