Hi. Does anybody know if a Holden red or blue engine can be converted to ULP? and is it very costly or efficient?

As I recall, Holden went to a Nissan motor for a few years on the changeover to ULP while they were developing their own, or modifying a yank motor.
So obviously they didn't think so.
Main problem is valve train wear, eg valve stems and seats that were protected to some extent by the lead in the fuel.

The only modifications needed are fitting of hardened valve seats and lowering of the compression ratio for ULP. If premium unleaded was used then the compression would not need to be lowered. If you were not using it for highway use then the valves and seats will last a long time anyway without modifications as the temperature would not get high enough to erode the valve seats.
