Spring spacers and lifts

Hi,
I am currently in the process of modifying my Suzuki XL7 (in my mind more than in practice).
Does anyone use the yellow polyurathane spring spacers for a lift? I am not looking at replacing the whole
suspension at this stage to achieve a lift, but thought these might work in the interim.
Do they just lift the body or the whole chassis as
well?
What advantages are there to these?

I have a Suzi GV but have changed the whole
suspension. Spacers are good but don't aid in
suspension travel etc.
It lifts everything (body, chassis) except the axles as it lifts the same as a
suspension lift.
