Guys,
I have been fortunate enough to pick up 5 2nd hand factory 17" alloys. I need three for my camper trailer but now have 2 left over. I am under the impression that they are horrendously expensive brand new $1K +? but don't know what to sell them for 2nd hand. Anyone with ideas or, in fact, interested? I won't use the price I paid for them as it was very cheap. And, no, they aren't stolen! I bought them from a national tyre outlet. They both have hub caps and nuts. Except for a rim scrape on one rim, they are in excellent condition.
Cheers
Rob

Great thought but the rims do owe me something and I would like to recover some of my costs.

Its quite easy....Lets say for example you paid $250 for the lot.
That would be $50 each....So for two rims you charge $100 and they pay the freight.

Hi Rob,
I do not know what you want for them. I paid $220 for a new Toyota Prado Alloy rim. Not the same that comes with the vehicle, but the ones that they advertise in the parts catalogue.
I don't know if this helps.
Cheers
Stephen

HI Rob, keep your eye out on Ebay, they are on there alot of the time. Some as sets of 5,4 or like yourself 2 some times even as single and they sell. They seem to sell over the $1000 mark for sets of 5 and 4, 99% of them with centre caps as
well. I would say with the prado rims I have seen on there you would be looking at $300 plus for the two of them. If not in a hurry to sell them check ebay regularly and will give you an idea. Regards Steve M

Yeh $220-270 each would be the go. Brand new Speedy Grande (identical to genuine Toyo) about $315.

Hi Rob, see you have listed them on Ebay. I'd be surprised if they dont climb above the $400 mark. Lets hope you make a nice little profit on them. Regards Steve M

Thanks guys. It will all depend on who wants only two rims with respect to what price I get. I had bid on two differenet sets of 17" steel rims on ebay but once they went above $400 I started to back off and ended up outbid in both auctions. The following day I went to buy some new King Sunraysia replicas and the local Bob Jane offered up the alloys for an each price less than the King rims BUT I had to take all five. I had no choice really and the CT will look great with alloys I am sure. In the end it cost me almost $1500 for the rims plus three new BFG ATs, a wheel alignment and lock nuts.
Cheers
Rob
