Aussie truck mirrors

On a 2005 Prado we have fitted a set of Aussie truck mirrors.
However the mirror side bracket where it fits between the window glass and the door frame.
It does appear as if is too right.
Has anyone struck this problem and what did you do to fix it.

I had the same problem with fitting them to my 60 series L/C , I couldn`t wind the window up with them on.I found that they fitted ok by moving them forward and fitting the "feet" under the rubber of the vent window. I don`t think the Prado has a vent window, I`m not sure.
Anyway I found out the expensive way that you can`t bump a tree with them without doing costly damage. LOL ,I am now considering getting the improved type that fold back if you happen to bump anything, it may be worth checking out if they fit differently to the door.
