My son's 1992 petrol 4 Runner is suffering from a passenger side front blinker/indicator that's gone birko. The indicator light on the dash blinks super rapidly whilst the indicator bulb itself does nothing. All other blinkers/indicators work normally. Was working OK just yesterday.
We tried swapping bulbs with no effect. Any suggestions welcome because vehicle electrics are a mystery to me.
Thanks from the Moose

Have you checked the fuse for the blinkers. If I remember correctly their are in trhree separate locations. One in engine bay , one drivers side near your knee and I think the other was behind the glove box. Check engine bay first to see if the indicator fuse is their.
Have you got a manual for the vehicle?
Cheers Pete

Moose,
Sounds like you may have a earth problem to the passengers side blinker.

Have had the same problem on my hilux. Just go to a wreckers or toyota and buy a new blinker housing, the problem is in the housing. I got a newy for $15 from a wreckers, no probs now.

If you are yet to replace the blinker bulb, try that before anything else.
The blinker flasher thing needs all the bulbs to be connected and in working order to flash at the normal speed. When a bulb blows, it changes the resistance of the circuit and causes the bliker flasher thing and light on the dash to blink very fast.
If you have already replace the globe, then I've no idea.
