I am sitting here writing this as an older LWB Padj is "practising his 4wding" across the road from me.
I live on a slope, and it's rained (yes I know) recently. He has road tyres on, and appears to be "making tracks". Personally I use the tar road to get up the hill, that's what it's for.
I know he has to learn somewhere, but surely he's heard of clubs, driving courses etc?
I'm hardly Al Gore, but I'm afraid the term "environmental vandalism" and "tread lightly" come to mind.
I've only ever seen him use the road once, and appears to think that since he has a 4wd, he has to go off the road to look cool...but he's not cool at all.
I suppose I could go and have a quiet yarn to him but I imagine I'd be told where to go, and perhaps quite rightly.I don't know this person BTW.
He's having fun and not disturbing anyone. Maybe I should drive across and join him to show him how it's done.

Am I just a cranky old B today, or do I have a point do you think?

To each their own Footie, is it his land or crown land? And if so then enviro vandalism may be apt, but hard to say

Jeez fellas, he's already an old cranky bugger, better sing him a lullaby;

"I've got a short wheel base fourbee loaded up with spotlights
I'm headin' out your way for a couple of nights
I'm just gonna get drunk, don't care about the sights
It's a free country; I've got my rights

I'm a weekend warrior, I just wanna have fun
I don't give a bleep about you and your son
There will be some fancy 'circle-work' before the rise of the sun
And your new lantern will be gone when I'm done
