Hi all,
I have recently purchased a 2002 Prado TDI which I love, but now I would like to take the family away
camping on the NSW coast and am looking for some good oil on the good ones…
I would like to do a bit of beach driving as I love my fishing. Has anyone camped at Crowdy Bay NP???
Also what about Delicate Noby.
Anyway your help would be greatly appreciated…

Hi Jock69,
I camped at
Kylies Beach (part of CB NP) on the long weekend. It is a nice spot with new pit
toilets and cold showers, no
drinking water available in the
park.
The beach is very easily accessed, however, you do need a permit from the
Taree Council (available at
Laurieton)
At the moment, the fees are $5 per adult per night and $3 per child (under 14 I think) per night plus your daily
park pass fee which is $7 per day or $22 per year for that
park only, but get in quick as the caretaker told us that the fees will DOUBLE on 1st Noverember.
There is also
Diamond Head and
Indian Head (also known as Kylies Hut) but we prefer
Kylies Beach as it is less cluttered and there are good secluded spots available for small groups.
Best thing is to check out the NPWS page for Crowdy Bay NP, but we have to say that as it is only 1/2 hr from home, we find it very convenient to get away for 3 or 4 days and just as a bonus, it is a nice spot.
